so I switch my engine from a 97 5.4 to a 99 5.4 and the temp sensor on the 97 is threaded directly behind the alternator into a crossover tube on the intake. The 99 has some kind of vacuum line attachment in the same spot and with the same threads. So i screwed in the sensor but it won't read on the instrument panel. If I'm not mistaken I think on these truck there are two temp sensors? One for the computer and one for the gauge?? Anyway how can I get this to read.
