Default No start, theft light blinking, EEC relay?

Hey guys - 2001 5.4 4x4 Screw. Died going down the interstate. Sat for an hour then started, died again 10 minutes later. No start. Theft light blinks and odometer reads all dashes. Definitely a PATS issue. Dealer said their diagnostics led to a faulty EEC relay. Said it was working part of the time then cutting out, which they think triggered my problem. Sound reasonable? My research hasn't turned up the EEC triggering PATS, but I may not be looking right. TIA

Internal relay in the ECU? Or external relay that powers it? I know it's possible to disable PATS via a tuning device (SCT preferably ) & custom tune. But if it's an internal issue with the ECU your only option is to replace it. You'll probably still have to make a trip to the dealer for configuration.

New relay installed. Ran for a few hours with no issues. Time will tell.
