just purchased a 1999 f-150 XLT and the odometer display doesn't work and neither does the radio display. Are the 2 problems posibly related? Any ideas on how to get odometer display to work? Previous owner claims that display works intermittently.

 

Search the forum, as it is a common problem. The culprit for the odometer is most likely a bad solder joint.

 

My 1999 did the same thing , I took out the cluster and soldered everything and the odo worked and a bunch of lites were out and didn't even know it. As far as the radio just replace it.
