Um? When ever I go on the freeway (70mph) my overdrive light flashes the off light until I turn my truck off.

So are you telling me my trans is bad?

Mine started flashing a couple years ago, stopped for a while, came back then truck wouldnt shift past third, rebuilding the valve body took care of it/stopped the light from flashing, easy fix if your starts going.

Well guys I took it to a shop today and after driving it around, hooking it up to a computer, not a single code was thrown. The transmission tech told me to keep driving it and bring it in if possible when the overdrive light goes on again.

Try to clean all your connectors. Mainly the ones to the solenoids. You will get the flashing light if you don't have a good connection.

My 4.6 did this one time towing a camper. Long story short that was the only time it's ever done it in 5 years of ownership... Still to this day don't know what happened

Can you specify which connectors? It was off for about a month then came on last night.

Hey guys I thought I would bump this thread up for clarification. Once I unplug my battery the flashing yellow light goes away for about two weeks with the truck shifting fine. Then the light returns and upon downshifting there is a harsh shift right before stopping. What in heck is this issue?
