Default No dash lights

I jjust recently purchased a 1997 Ford F150. I turned on the lights for the first time the other day and I had no dash lights at all no instrument cluster lights an no lights in the heat n air controls and no lights on the door window switches or on the steering wheel cruise control buttons. Also I have no cruise control at all. First thing I checked was the fuses and they were good. Any one else have this problem and know of a solution?

Might check fuses under hood and relays.

check the bulbs to see if they're any good in the dash and hvac controls. just did mine today, took all of 30 seconds to see my bulbs were blown in the hvac controls. the dash, that will probably take closer to an hour from start to finish(taking your time and looking everything over as you go)

I don't have lights on my door controls or cruise either. I never knew they had lights. I'm learning.

when i first picked up my 02 SCrew all the dash lights except the cluster were out, i pulled my head light switch and the wires to the connect were lose wiggled em around and reseated the connectors and the doors lit up then i pulled the aftermarket radio and wow what a mess who ever owned it had just twisted the wires together no insolation or even electrical tape I'm lucky the truck didn't burn up on the way home from the lot. fixed all the wire with proper connectors and insulation and the HVAC condoles lit right up, and so did the cup holder light. defiantly worth checking the wiring if theres an aftermarket radio installed.

also not to be a smart *** just wanted to confirm u did try adducting the dimmer on the head light switch right?
