Default New Ride!

Hey guys.

I've been on this forum for a couple years, and just got back into the truck game by purchasing a 2001 F-150. I got a steal at $3800 with only 117k miles on the odometer. It's an XLT with 4x4 and the 5.4. Basic cloth interior with a 60/40 bench.

Future plans include:

2014 F-150 4x4 decals in matte black
bedline or plasti-dip the white of the two tone to either a dark gray or black
paint the wheels black or dark gray
lightning headlights (black housing, clear lenses
tint the tails, leaving the reverse lights
replace the stock stereo with one I have laying around
replace the stock speakers with some pioneer ones I have laying around
LED's in the cab under the dash and seats
true dual mini dynomax bullets with a rear cat delete
a custom front bumper built by myself and a buddy
offroad lights set into the new custom bumper to replace the stock fog lights
get the rusty nerf bars powdercoated black

This is all I can think of off the top of my head. I have a whole folder on my computer dedicated to my new truck.

Hopefully it gets warm here in Wisconsin so I can get some work done on this beaut!

Morning after I brought it home.

nice truck! You should address the bed and door cancer first before anything.

Sounds like you got a heck of a deal! What part of WI are you from? I found a guy that does body work for cheap. I plan on him repairing the bottom of my doors and bed for about $1000.

I'm around the LaCrosse area. The western side of the state. I'm not terribly concerned about the rust. I live in Wisconsin. Rust is going to happen, I'm just gonna try to do all I can to slow it down. But I know it won't do much. Rust up here is inevitable
