Default new to this need help

So I bought a 97 f150 4x4 now the rear end axel is messed up now it has drum brakes and I would like to get another rear end that has disk brakes and I wanted to know if I have to do any modifications or will it it bolt right in ... And what else would I need in this conversion like a brake booster ?

Well if your swappin out rear end for rear end then just brake hoses and lines need to be looked at I'd keep the drum brakes there less of a PITA to work with... Plus you don't have to worry about sticky or frozen calipers

Ya drums are weaker though and have a tendency to lock up a lot under hard braking, also under wet conditions drums can get really sketchy

what rear end do you have? 8.8 or 9.75?

I don't know man, I've worked on both and minus having the rotors turned disc brakes were easier for me. They're better for braking too. But wouldn't ABS have to be upgraded too?
