ive finally decided its time for my truck to be noticed. i know i want a magnaflow muffler but i dont know exactly which one. i want it to bark around town but i dont want the annoying drone on the highway (i drive 250 miles each way from home to college every weekend on the interstate) i cant afford a complete system because of college, gas, and limited income, so i want to change just the muffler and maybe ad a tip.

any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks man, ive tried that and most of them are either just revving up or low speed drive byes or the sound quality just sucks. the ones i do like dont give the type of magnaflow theyre using haha

I have true dual straight pipes on mine, and drive 150 miles one way back and forith from school, and its not too bad, but I'm sure any sort of muffler would be an improvement.

 

if you are keeping with the single exhaust a magnaflow single in single out would be ideal. The size depends on how much noise you want. A custome dual exhaust with 2 magnaflows runs about 400 or so. I have the 14" 2.5 inch in and out. My truck is loud as hell uner full throttle, but decently quiet under normal conditions.

ive thought about it but im thinking about doing a 14 inch muffler 2.5 in 3inch out single magnaflow system, ive seen way too many dual exhausts on trucks so its kindof played out. but a single exhaust would keep it stock looking and turn heads.



it might take a few weeks before i can swing it. i just bought 285-70-17 wild country xtx sports. yeah thats right, 17 inch rims, talk about rapeage on cost of tires

 

I went with the Polished SS Magnaflow 14326. Cost me around $90 at Pep Boys and about $30 for one heavy duty hanger, some exhaust clamps, and an extension. Specs on the muffler are as follows:
