New here
Hi, my name is Brian and I am a new F150 owner. I just sold my very, VERY much loved 2000 Jeep Wrangler on 33s.
I got a 2003 FX4 Super Crew with the 4.6. I am looking to do some things to the truck, but V8s, IFS, and electronics are foreign to me.
The truck is stock except for an Airaid intake. I would like to get a better sounding exhaust, but I don't want crazy loud, just a nice mellow, deeper tone. I do know I want a single in, dual out, and exit in front of the tires. What muffler would you guys suggest? Also, I am wanting to step up a tire size, looking at 285/70/17 Terra Grapplers, will these fit without any suspension mods? And are there any issues with this truck that I should keep an eye out for?
I have looked at this site all night, and seems like a great place for info.
Here are some pics of my truck:

Thanks,
Brian

Should fit. May have to crank the torsion bars a bit. IFS isn't that difficult, I prefer the 5 link on my Cherokee though. When lifting a IFS, after about 3 inches, lift kits get extremely expensive due to the fact that longer A arms, and parts that relocate drivetrain geometry up front are needed. Torsion bars suck when it comes to someone familiar with the Jeep set ups. The leafs on the rear have the hangars flipped, so putting new dog bones on will lower the back. Have to use blocks or AAL. For a mellow tone, I'd look into some of the milder Magnaflow or Flowmaster setups. Personally I like glasspacks, but that may be a little too aggressive for what you are looking for. Only thing to really watch out on the truck was a few(more like 12) years ago there was a recall on the cruise systems for have a tendency of catching the vehicles on fire so you may want to stop by your local Ford house and see if yours has been taken care of by a previous owner.
I did notice that the inside lower part of the rear doors are pretty rusted up. Is this normal? Any good fixes for this? I was going to flap wheel out all the rust I could and coat with P.O.R.
