Default New guy with some questions

Hello everyone!
Just got my 1997 F150 Lariat Ext Cab 4x4 today and got a question for yall.
Its raining here and on the way home i notice that from somewhere close to the back window i have leak, i was wondering if this was a common thing and if so how do i go about finding and fixing it. Any input on this issue will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Spencer Reynolds

P.S. Ill post picks tomorrow if its not raining too bad.

Like all forums, and the internet in general; The search function is your friend. And, I had the same problem with my 99, its fairly common.

Now that i researched that i know what to do to fix that. Just got another question though, for some reason my truck think my door is ope when they are all shut so therefore my dome and cargo light stays on. When i got home i didnt do it but after i packed it out of the garage to park it and got out and locked it i noticed it doing it after i went into the garage to get something.Anyone have any ideas what may cause this.

This is another of the well posted things on here. The switches in the latches sometimes get greasy, dirty, rusty, corrode, etc. Spray each one of the latches liberally with WD40 so that it runs. Then open and close them each a few times and check. You'll find, unless something is actually broken, that this will cure (or at least for a while) your problem. This seems to be the most common problem with this generation of truck. Worked on my 98. Good luck
