Default New guy with a question.

Just joined. Hoping someone can help. While removing the starter from my 1998 4.2 l v6 4x4 f150, I snapped the stud that holds the starter to the bell housing. I was able to remove it but can't seem to find a replacement. Any ideas?

If you're referring to the one with threads on both ends, and the nut in the middle, you're top 3 places to get one would be either the dealership. Bigger dealerships might have one in stock. Get the part number while you're there. Next I would try Napa or a store like that. Last bet would be a junkyard and just pull one off a wrecker. Unless you're a decent welder. You could just weld up your own bolt.

Either go to your local Ford dealer, or if they are a little expensive try the junkyard. If they don't have one, then you can try Titus Will Ford up in Washington.... They're parts are usually cheaper and have no tax.... http://www.tituswillford.com/ I've ordered many OEM parts from here, cheaper than my California local dealer.

Thanks for the advice. Gotta make a trip to the scrapyard anyway, think I'll start there.
