Got my new muffler installed today but ran short on cash for my tip so next week it'll have a nice chrome rolled tip. But I was wondering, does a muffler get "broken in" or sound different after a while? Right now it's just exhaust pipe coming out in front of the wheel but will it sound different with the tip or being broken in if possible??

A chambered muffler will contract and expand with heat, but won't change tone or volume like a straight through packed muffler will. It will sound slightly different with the tip and give it a megaphone effect, but don't expect a huge change. If you don't like the tone now, get a different muffler.
