Default new cv axle problems

Ok so i just replaced my upper control arms, upper and lower ball joints, shocks, and as i was on my passenger side i saw my cv axle boot was tore. So i went and bought a new one not remanufactured, but when i installed it and bolted the upper ball joint to the hub, my hub would spin back and fourth a little but then would like locked up, but if the hub isn't bolted to the upper ball joint and i lean it like out towards myself it spins freely fine. The other side is still spinning fine, I also just bolted it all together and put the tire on and dropped it off the jack to see if maybe it made less angle and would be ok but it wouldnt roll and could tell it was catching on that side. I even took it back and got another one and tried it same thing, so i just put my old one back on and its fine. Any one have any ideas of what it might be? I heard maybe the torsion bars being cranked but i put them back to stock and same situation, don't really know what to do next.
Thanks

Are you saying the CV is binding?

Im not sure what you mean by that, i put the new one on and it will like barely spin like 1/4th of a turn then it wont go any farther. But the old one is truning fine so i just put the old one back on untill i figure out what the problem is.

It really shouldn't be an issue but the new CV will be tighter than an old broken in one but it shouldn't bind up.... If you put the new one in and put the wheel on with it still jacked up can you spin the tire?

The aftermarket ones are notorious for being to long. I went thru 4 to get one the right length. I've seen them differ as much as 3/8". The problem your seeing is binding in the new axle because be willing to bet it 1/4" to long. I just do boot kit now. Its far less of a headache.

With the old one on and the tire on it will spin fine but, with the new one when its jacked up or when its on the ground it wont spin. I don't really know how long the boot has been ripped and i am worried that it has been driven on with out the grease and may have like rusted or something would that be a problem if i just got the boot kit? If it will be fine can someone direct me to a site to get the kit? Thanks for all the help

I had the same problem. Tore the boot replaced the axle, then the tire wouldn't spin. What it was Is that the axle is all fresh and new and not broken in. And when it's of the ground the axles are at an extreme angle and binding because it's too much for them. But when it's on the ground it should be fine. But when I hit a bump on the freeway or turned left and the suspension would decompress or whatever because there no weight pushing down on it, it was binding ljke a ****. So what I had to do was lower the front a little so the axle wasn't binding. Then as they wear in you can gradually crank the bars again but not too much cuz it'll rip the boots. Hope this made sense haha
