Default Needing some help please....

I just bought an '03 F150 Sport 4x4 5 speed and have NO IDEA how to engage my 4WD. It's a floor stick shift located next to my 5 speed shifter.

I don't want to damage my truck so I'm hoping someone can tell me what to do.

Sorry if I sound like a stupid girl.....but for the moment I will proudly own that!! LOL

Can anyone help a girl out?

Put truck in neutral, then take the 4wd stick and push it hard to whatever gear you want. It should say 4L, 4H, N, 2H. 4L is low for extreme pull, 4H is for like driving on the road in 4wd, N is Neutral for the transfer case and 2H is for back in 2wd. Sometimes its a pain to get it back in 2wd though. You may also hear some grinding as you try to put it in 4wd, just keep going because that sound is normal if you go slow with it or fast. Your gonna think it broke when it slams into 4wd but you didnt. Do you have manual lock hubs on your front wheels?
