OK, I have an issue with my 2000 F150 4x4 5.4L engine. I was driving my truck no problem, stopped and shut it off, went to start it and nothing. I turn the key and nothing happens. I have power when I turn the key to run, but when I turn it to start, the power cuts out like its gonna start but nothing happens. I have tried to turn the key on and off 8 times in 10 seconds, tried pulling up on the gear shifter and turning it over, still nothing. I am able to jump the starter while holding the key in the start position. the neutral safety switch, starter relay and start are all brand new. I do have a spare key and am going to see if maybe the spare key will start the truck cause of the chip issue. If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know.

IDK... everything I would have mentioned to replace is already new. I dont think the key is gonna be your issue. If you use a non-programmed key blank to try to start your truck, it will crank but not start.... or at least my 2002 does and my buddies 2000 is the same way.

try moving your tilt steering while you turn the key my 97 has a bad wire in the colume and it always gives me probs when i go to start it so i ran a push button started directly to my sylinoid for when i have these problems
