Default need some advice.. wheels

this is kind of sketchy, but here's the deal;

i'm looking at buying wheels for my truck. i found a guy selling 15" wheels with 35" tires. they're five lug but he said he tried fitting them on his 97 f150, 4 bolts fit perfectly but the last one rubbed on the thread of the bolt.

i could try to shanagle them on there, or bore out that last hole by like a millimeter or two. i was thinking that the lug when tightened down would still hold the wheels in place where it's suppose to be, as long as i dont bore out too much of the hole.

i want to hear your opinions about this before i do it

NOOOOO! 5 X135 is the lug pattern. If they dont fit they dont fit. You will end up breaking lug bolts and the tire will fall off.

I'm not an expert, but I wouldn't suggest it either. I'm thinking...the bolt pattern is designed that the wheel spins at the same center point as the hub. If you start boring out bolt holes, you make the tire have a new center point, so its going to be spinning off-center, or put a whole bunch of stress on parts you don't won't to be stressed when driving down the road ~60mph (like said above).

But, its your truck, nothing new was every accomplished with trying first.

Is that true with all 15''s? I had my 15x10 5x5.5 rims with billet wheel adapters on my 97 for a day or soo. Caliber didn't rub but that may be due to the extra inch and a half the adapters gave me. I will be buying new rims soon due to the fact that the wheel adapters are complete sh*t and came loose and broke off lugs. I dont wanna cash out couple hundred bucks and get rims i cant fit so any advice would be great!
