Default need more juce

hay iam looking for a bigger alternator i have a large draw from the amp to all 6 of the hid lights when the subs hit the lights dim all around the truck so iam looking for some ideas or brands on a larger alternator

^that is a good brand
or: DB starter, ohiogenerator, meangreen. all good HO alts.

You might wanna look into installing a second battery also with all that power draw. that would be a even bigger help than a HO alt.

Large capacitor cap on the amplifier will cure that.

^caps help just very slightly. They aren't good for much. It won't get anywheres close to curing the problem.

I've had way too many stereo systems and pissed away far too much money on them for you to convince me that a cap won't help. Their ability to rapidly release power to an amp and their slow steady draw on your alternator will do wonders for your charging system. Not to mention it'll take care of the disco lighting effect you get when your subs hit hard.
