Question === Need Help w/ Windshield Wipers!!! ===

I just picked up a 99 F150 the other day and already I'm having problems. Its the weirdest thing... my windshield wipers work at the wrong times. When I put the key into the ignition and turn the key towards me (opposite direction from starting) the windshield wipers work perfectly fine. When I turn the key forward and I start it, the wipers won't work. What the heck is going on? Strangest thing... is this a wiring problem or am I just having bad luck?

Thanks in Advance everyone!!

Maybe a wire going to the multifunction switch. Pull the cover off the steering column and see if everything looks ok when you are moving the key.

This actually happened to me... try taking the plastic covering off where your bolt would be and tightening the bolt worked for me... they are held by pressure and if that bolt pressure releases then your without a windshield wiper.

listen to this. I had a problem a few months back with my windshield wipers coming on by themselves. I could be drivin along mindin my own buisness and out of nowhere they would come on. I found a post(If I can find it I will post it) on how to pull your windshield wiper switch apart and clean it. Did that and havent had a problem yet. BTW its a 99
