Need help !!!!!! Transmission issues
Hello I have 1998 f150 xlt 2wd truck is very clean no rust. My son bought the truck as a project truck it had a bad 4.6 engine. The guy before us swapped in a 1996 Ford crown Victoria 4.6 engine. But the transmission was bad . So we bought a Transmission out of a 2004 expedition 2wd at first glance they looked the exact same. Once we got to hooking up the wire harness I noticed the 2004 transmission did not have a VSS sensor in the tail shaft . Engine runs perfect in park but when put in drive it runs like it’s on 4 out of 8 cylinders. Overdrive light blinks. Any help would be appreciated

It won't work... you need a 98 trans.
