Default need help with some questions

how do i get past the air bag, safley unpower, and remove it so i can replacing my cruise control switched(grabbed new ones from junk yard.

any basic information for taking the dash apart to switch guage clusters would also be much appreciated

also when i start the truck and every so often driving down the round there is 4 series of 5 dings that go off and i would like to know the cause of this to correct it

2 nuts on either side of the steering wheel removed will release the air bag.....

then unplug it...........I always suggest you disconnect the battery, but some say it makes no difference.....

I prefer to disconnect it though.......

there are two bolts on the underside of the steering wheel. once the two bolts are out u can unplug the air bag, horn, cruise controls. there are a lot of things to get tha gauge out. been while since took mine out but think u have take panel off around radio then there some screws that hold the pannel to left of it. you have to pop the panel off between steerin wheel n gauge . think the panel under steering wheel has to come off as well then once that is done u can un bolt the pannel that surrounds the gauge. then should be able to unbolt the gauge. hope it helps

1st air bag disconect battery and wait at least15 mins.2nd the the cluster is held by screws remove 2 screws under the cowling infront of the cluster remove the bezel around the cluster this wil expose the screws that hold the lens and cluster in pull it out far nough to un plug the wire harnnes and based on your avetar i believe your truck has a speedo cable unplug it and remove the cluster. If no cable just pull it out
