Default Need help with side mirror conversion

I have a 2004 Heritage model with the manual mirrors. I bought used power mirrors and would like to know what I need to convert my truck to a power mirror setup. Do they all include the wiring harness and I just need power mirror switches or is it all missing since it is an XL model. Appreciate any help you can offer.

I don't know much about mirror but I helped my buddy change his stock mirrors to tow mirrors but his truck is an 04 to 08 body style. Regardless I doubt your truck will have any of the wiring you need because that would be wasted parts from the factory. It probably has all of the places to put the wiring just no actual wiring.

I don't think that the harness is in the doors. You will need the switch setup also. You should be able to go to a wrecking yard and pull everything you might need for little or nothing. You can also make your own harness if necessary. It won't be an item that is seen, so if you make it look crappy, who's to see it, right? You will have the plug available where it plugs in inside the cab, but you will have to find that particular plug. Possibly in the service manual wiring schematics. The mirrors are turnable when vehicle is off, so just about any power source with either key on or off will work. It should be easy to wire up yourself.

Keep in mind that the harness will go from the drivers door all the way around under the dash to the passenger door. Not impossible, but could be considered a pain.

Thanks for all the help. I'm going to try and hit the salvage yard and see what happens! I might get lucky.
