Default Need help with rear shocks.

So when i first got my truck i replaced my stock shocks with some procomps. Their great shocks but for some reason the nut keeps comming off. Ive tried thread lock and other things but i cant get it to stay. Now from what ive noticed the top bushing gets so smashed that it sorta gets sucked into the hole, were the threads come through, which loosins the pressure were the nut is, allowing the nut to turn itself and get off. What would be the best way to prevent this? For now im gona try goin back to the stock bushings. Any advice?

a lock nut would work. another nut on top of the first one and tighten it down and it holds em both

Who did the shocks. I have done atleast 15 pairs of Procomps on customers trucks and have not had one problem. They have a steel plate to prevent it going through the hole. Also your probably not tighting it. You got to use two wrenches, one on top on on the nut. I never had a problem with it backing out, sorry.

haha i thought that was common sense, if its like the bilsteins, then if you just use 1 wrench you are just turning the shaft of the shock. if you did this u shouldnt work on ur own vehicle
