Default Need help quick

Ok i have a 97 4.2 v6 5spd just went outside to leave and it wont start. i push the clutch in turn the key over and nothing happens. I mean the radio and everything comes on so the battery is fine and its got power but it doesnt even try and turn over. Its like i dont even have the clutch pushed in but i do. Need advice asap thanks

Since the radio and light need less current than the starter, the health of a battery cannot be gauged by the radio coming on. I would check the battery posts first.

Thanks for the reply. The battery is brand new. Turns out it was my starter. I gave it a couple taps with a hammer and that got me up and going so I wa able to get to advance and order another one so tommorrow I'll spend laying in my gravel driveway under my truck. Yippee
