Default need help please.

I know I am new. I know some forums dont like to help new guys.

BUT, this is my 2nd f150. first one was a 2000 4.6 2wd ext cab flareside. hated it as it was the first 2wd I ever owned and would get stuck on wet grass.

I picked up my current 99' xlt 5.4 4x4 extended cab for a 1000 bucks. It does have 300k miles. but runs pretty good (minor lifter/cam tick). trans rebuilt, and shifts good. once warm tick goes away.

HOWEVER, I jump started it as it sat for a month or so after I got it, and the battery was dead. since I did that I have had all sorts of problems.

First it started with the radio not working in reverse or drive and coming back on in park or nuetral. AND, the dash lights wont shut off!? the warning lights stay on after ignition off and key out. the radio also stays on.

Today after having to jump it again (sat for weeks) the when running in park the start starts trying to start again. sounds terrible. when in drive or reverse it quits trying but put it back in park and starter fires! THEN I drove it three miles and my drivers window tried to automatically roll down twice without being asked to. WTF?!

LOL... what is going on!? its making me crazy.

is it the ignition switch. ignition module? I am a newb to fords so please bear with me.

other than that I love the truck.

Ill post a intro thread and pics later. just want to figure this out!

Start off by replacing the battery then take it for a drive, lets say about 10 miles. See it that fixes some of the problems. Keep us posted.

How much rain have yall had. These fords are bad about water leaking arond the windsheild. Check for water intrusion on the driver side behind the fuse panel is the ecm. If wet causes havoc. I would check that first.
