Default Need Help With Front End!

So i recently got my balljoints delivered and was looking into getting a pitman arm and idler arm. Does anyone know what the idler arm even does, and would i even have to replace it? If so where would a good place be to purchase these. Thanks.

It guides the steering arms, and helps keep the passenger tire properly aligned. Oriellys has them for about 50 bucks.

Pittman arms turns the wheels from the input of the steering box. The idler arm does the same thing but it is just stationary.
