need help with drum brakes?/??
hello everyone..... i have a 2000 ford f150 4x4 truck with rear drum brakes. i had a look at my rear brakes today and noticed that the top spring was broken, the small cable with a round bracket on the end that hooks on to the top pin was busted (what is this called)?????
also found a small plate at the bottom by the adjuster, don't have a clue what it is. i went to the parts store and got a hold down kit but all it had was springs. not the cable or the part for the adjuster.
What am i spose to ask for at the parts counter?? not a hold down kit so what else??????

Just got my truck a few months ago--rear brakes were disintegrated--I couldn't tell how they went back together--Half the parts fell out when I got the drums off (with a torch)--This helped me get it back together--
