Default Need help with amp placement! Help!

I have a 2000 Extend cab. I have a downfiring box with two 12s. Problems is that the box takes up all the space under the seat so i have no idea where to put the amp. I was thinking under the front seat? Anyone have any suggestion. Oh and anyone know any easier way to get the power from the battery through the fire wall? Thanks!

As far as amp placement - I have a std cab, so I mounted mine on the back panel - do some searching on here, there is plenty of threads on this. And dealing with power cable routing - I routed mine under the body from the eng. compartment and drilled through the cab floor near the amp, I used plenty of that corrugated plastic junk to protect it and heavy zip ties to secure - easy to route huge cable and clean looking.

I have read quite a bit on airspace around an amp, especially when mounted behind the seat, not many problems with overheating, unless your running huge watt's - I am running 1500 watts RMS to two really hungry subs, I let the radio play for hours ( I work outside ) and my amp just gets warm, My amp isn't covered but I live in southern AZ, never had an overheat. - Also there is some pretty cool amp racks and installs on here, there's some pretty talented audio guys on here.

I run two 15inch Bassani subwoofers in my 98 Flareside. I run two amps both running 1000w. I mounted each amp under the front seats an ran the wires to the center front seat where they splice tigether an run into my engine bay & my stereo. I also mounted my amps distributor under the front center seat as well. only thing i changed was where my jack was hiden bc it was under the passenger front seat. my trucks pounding for 12hrs straight at 5days a week do to car&truck shows an race events i do. So ive had no problems & theyve been installed for 3years. I also fabd my back seat frame to now be my subwoofer box. an it all looks clean. wires are under the carpet an tucked away nicely. in a newer truck you jus gotta fab your sub box to be like the seat frame in the late models where the hinges are closest to the front of the cab so it opens with the seat opening to the driver. looks clean after. will post pics later

I have a standard cab. Amp sits on top of the box behind the seat. Put it under the passenger seat, or drivers. For the wiring I pulled up my floor mat on the passenger side and drilled through a grommet that was already there to run it into the truck (its half the firewall by the kick panel) and then just ran down the bulkhead trim back to the amp.
