Default need help

I recently changed both upper control arms on my 2002 f150 supercrew. While doing this, I noticed some wires hanging low and decided to tighten them up. When test driving my new install, I found the power windows along with the dome lights and running board lights no longer working but were prior to this. I noticed a wire I had secured touching my exhaust and the sheath had melted so I suspected this contact caused a fuse to blow. I have checked all fuses and swapped a couple of relays in the fuse box under the dash and spliced the wire with no resolution to the problem. Anyone have any suggestions? How did you check the fuses? If you pulled them out and looked at them-that doesn't always work. A test light is the best way to check fuses in the circuit. I'd start there.

If you melted wires it's probably not gonna be just a fuse your gonna need to repair the melted wire and replace fuses and a test light is the best method to checking fuses so I agree with the above post it's a lot quicker and your able to test all fuses within minutes

It was only one wire that had melted and I have repaired it. Due to time, I have only been able to swap the #1 and #2 relays and the #4 and #5 relays in the dash fuse panel with no fix but will try testing with a tool as soon as I can. Any ideas on which relay may be the culprit? Hard to believe I'm having this much trouble solving what seems like an easy problem. Thanks
