Exclamation in need of advice on gear ratio's

i have a 98' F-150 with a 4.6 4X4. i am trying to find a set of lower gears to run to help out with gas mileage. the most i haul is a harley in the bed. the truck is a good truck with only 32,000 miles on it and paid for. i want to get better mileage out of it because i plan to use it as my daily driver. anyone know where i can get these gears? i heard i have to swap my front diff too?
any help recieved is appreciated.
thanks,
donnie

i think you want a set of higher ratio gears for fuel economy. eg. 3.55 is higher than a 4.10. it can be confusing for someone that doesn't understand. a higher numerical number is a lower gear. and a lower numerical number is a higher gear. if your truck came with 3.55 gears i don't think you'de want to raise them anymore due to the truck acting like a dog. and yes you will have to change both front and rear. www.reiderracing.com and www.ringpinion.com sell gears.
