Default Name of this part?

I am on a page inquiring about an exhaust diagram for a '97 E150 5.4 ltr. There is a quality diagram posted on this page:
https://www.f150forum.com/f6/exhaust-diagram-45824/
However is isn't labeling the parts. The first arrow, on the top of the diagram, pointing downward, is pointing to the part I need - it is some kind of junction between the manifold down pipe and the catalytic converter. There is an exhaust leak in this thing, whatever it is. The guy at Autozone couldn't help me - somebody, please, help a dude out. To describe - it is a shield/silencer?/pre-catalytic converter cooler(?), between the main exhaust manifold down pipe and the catalytic converter. Name this part.

I just found another diagram - a better one - here. Unfortunately, they want you to sign up for some software download b.s. and I ain't the one. It is part # 7 on this particular diagram.

So again, I found some other images/diagrams, one of referred to this unit as a "state converter". I'm going to keep looking, anyone with any helpful ideas/suggestions/directions, please feel free.

You will either need a cut in cat or which ever side assembly (upper and lower per bank). I'd personally go with the assembly and save the headaches later. JMO, of course.

I've bought a few converters for myself, and my Buddy's business off of www.carparts.com - and have not been let down yet. They sell Eastern converters, and they are well made with a REALLY good price point.

Not sure if this link will hold all of the info I put into it, but try this link:
