we tryed to crank it and it seemed like it didnt have enough juice in the battery to crank it cause when we tryed to crank it it just dimmed the lights and then the lights would go out until we let go of the key

I am wondering the same thind as sharptp, with the brownish fluid, old coolant can look brownish due to iron blocks rusting.

Alright, if you have the tools see if you can turn the motor over by hand. Using a ratchet or breaker bar and a socket.

Test the Alternator!
The battery while you are at it. Seems to be an awful lot of No Starts, it is cold out there. If the Alternator is bad and wore down that battery, you won't get enough juice to fire.

Hopefully the battery took a dump, with the brownish coolant, thinking engine locked up.

do not try to turn motor over with a breaker bar... intill you pull the plugs.... if the battery wont turn it over... pull the plugs and then try to crank it...

Did the motor bog down......... or just slam..stop...... any smoke before it died...
