that could be the case. does it make any funny noises when u spin the side that is broke. im not 100 shure on how all that fits together. i assume its like the rear end and the cv shaft bolts up too the shaft that runs through the front axlepart too the pumkin. it could be the insides arnt broke just the outside housing. either way i wouldnt drive it till replace the front end or remove the cv shafts for now so its not turning anything.

no noises i notice. and yeah thats probably what ill end up doing. remove all 4x4 shafts necessary so it is just a heavy lifted 2wd for a while. no huge rush i guess but hopefully this will get fixed quick. on the bright side, this finally gave me time to do my billet grille in gloss black! just got that done. might post a few before and after pics in a thread tomorrow. ive wondered how itd look for a while, and i like it even better than i thought it would.

good news! the shaft isnt broken, just the casing around it. i cleaned off the actuator a little and it engaged into 4x4, both sides. dont know why the wheel wouldnt spin yesterday, it spins fine today(in 2wd of course). so i guess ill check and make sure the differential is okay, and try and find the best price on that casing. anyone have any idea on what that might cost?
