I was just looking at that one. Im leaning towards a volant though because its enclose and then maybe I can "gotts" mod to it into the fender hole.
Edit: you ninja'd me. Never really considered head bolts I guess. Always been thinking "im saving up for the best" and studs are superior to bolts, just probably not needed with my build.

I totally spaced you were still building your 4v out. I just went through the entire thread, it's looking good! What kind of compression do you figure? Are you staying N/A for now?
Who's going to be the first of the two that has a working & running 4v?
This is neat that your both building out your 4v's at the same time. I remember when i was doing my s/c swap the same time fordmotorsport was doing one too! Maybe I buy a 4v and join the fun?
Nah... to expensive lol. Good luck guys!

Found out the serial numbers and those are indeed the right cams... hmm the price is reallly steep and those are the only ones I can find.. Saw people using cloyes timing parts and found that Carquest sells a cloyes 4v timing kit with everything for 625.... yeah no thanks. Or I buy Ford parts for $400 lol 290 - ARP head studs 400 - Ford timing kit 90 - Ford high volume oil pump 250 - cobra cams?? maybe??? After these parts ill be moving onto things I can get at oreillys with my buddys discount such as spark plugs, pulleys, tensioners, water pump, injectors, cops, gasket set, etc etc. Im also going to be needing an intake tube so ill have to buy a cold air intake for it but thats later down the road. Oh yeah and headers... lol

I would. Find an old set of Kooks from a stang or just purchase a set a regular of 16g regular steel headers. Kooks LT's are easy to make work. Two turns on each side, stitch them back up.
You know you can just tack them in place, then take them to any welding or fab shop and get them welded professionally 20-40 bucks.
Come on, be brave lol.
Yea, DON'T try and weld them if you haven't had the stick time lol.

Yea but you can tack weld. With a Mig, you can sit right on the joint, -rest the gun(torch) perfectly on it (torch won't light up until you pull the trigger). No helmet required. Just close your eyes pull the trigger, count two seconds (make sure you count), scream like a girl if it helps and let go of the trigger.
