i got a super 44 on a 4.6 v8 1999 and its loud and sounds good but it doesnt sound like other truck with same muffler. they only thing differnt is that my truck has no tailpipe, would having a tailpipe make it sound different?

 

ya tail pipe makes it sound better in my opinion.
