Default muffler size

I'm going to be getting a new muffler put on my f-150 to make it loudfer. but what size inlet and outlet do I need. and what offset.

What year is your truck. 97-03 is 2 1/2" in and out. In and out on opposite corners. If that makes any sence.

any good exhaust shop will throw a performance muffler on your stock pipe for cheap. as long as your pipe is in good shape
