Default Mudflaps and oversized tires

Currently I have 12.5" wide tires, and 11" wide mudflaps. Coming home today, I noticed I am spraying A LOT of water, and it is only a matter of time before I get pulled over.

Does anyone have the proper sized mud flaps on their truck for tires as wide as this? Does anyone have pictures so I know how much the flap will stick out?

Mud flaps are ugly. Get rid of them.

Not everything on trucks are there to look good. I'm sure he has them for the purpose of having a mud flap. Also, it's required by law in some states for certain size tires, and OP is worried about his mud flaps not being adequate.

My mom was pulled over in my truck back before I had no mudflap for not having them. Now I have them, but they are too small for my current tire, I would prefer to cover bases instead of argue them with a cop lol.

As long as you have them it shouldnt be a concern you are with in the limits of the law. As long as the offset meets the requirements of the state.

I have 1.5" of tire going passed the flap, so anyone behind me gets sprayed horribly. It only takes one cop having a bad day lol.

well if they're getting sprayed they're driving to close. honestly i think if you already have the mud flaps and are big enough already the cops shouldnt harrass you. i get where youre coming from though.

Word. I had to replace a windshield last week because of the jackhole ahead of me who thought mudflaps were optional.

Red-Ford, when I had the same problem on my Toyota I got a couple pieces of semi truck mudflap (any trailer supply or farm supply should have them), cut them to shape, hacked my stock flaps short and riveted the new mudflaps to the stubs.
