What do you all think? Pros? Cons? Do they trap moisture and promote rust, or keep it off the bodywork and prevent it?

I understand Ford offered them as an option from the factory. Are the OEM ones good? Any other brands to recommend?

they won't increase rust because they mount to the flairs around the wheels which are plastic.

I just replaced the factory mudflaps on my 1997 flareside with ford oem mudflaps. Like 85.00 for the set from ford. No rust under old flaps

id say they reduce rust if anything. they knock down stuff that would otherwise scratch up the paint. i had to extend mine with some cheap rubber ones so i didnt throw rocks at the trailer when im on gravel

In August of last year I picked up my new F1 50 lariat 4 x 4 off-road package. I installed the weathertech mudflaps front and rear. they are custom-made to form exactly with the outline of the F1 50 Body and are extremely easy to install and extremely durable. OEM Ford mudflaps are good but these are the best. My humble opinion.
