Default Moving target

Guys, i have read the strings in this and different rooms. I have a miss in my engine...really!? It is a 99 F150 4.2. It misses after warming and idle drops and revs to make up for it. It also sputters when going up hills and i thought it sputtered during moist conditions. I even kicked the thought around that its gas mileage had dropped.
I read everything from fuel manifold gaskets blue and black, spark plugs, 02 sensors, and mods and such...

I guess i am just looking for someone to say yep, start plugging new parts until it fixes.

Thanks guys.

Sounds like a possible vacuum leak to me. My mustang had those symptoms when the intake gasket was leaking and sucking in umetered air. I tried listening for a whistle since most vacuum leaks do that, but since I couldn't find one, I used starting fluid (or carb cleaner, don't remember) and sprayed around wherever vacuum leaks might occur. Once the spray hit the leak, the engine revved up, letting me know I'd found the culprit. Or it could possibly be the IAC.
