misfire cylinder 1 - Help finding out what is the cause
Hello, I have a 2003 ford f150 supercrew cab with 131k miles with the 4.6l engine.
I am having some cold start issues. Only in the mornings when I start my car I have a misfire that turns on my check engine light. It'll tremble quiet a bit for like 1-2 minutes then run perfectly fine the rest of the day. I changed the spark plug and Coil pack.
Any idea what direction I should go next?

That engine doesn't use coil packs. You have individual coils which is a COP ignition system, - since it's an 03. They used coil packs at one time, but that was back in 99.
So what did the CEL say or what was the DTC when scanning ? What coil and plug was used..the manufacturer.

I do not have the code on hand but I'll grab it later tonight. All I remember was cylinder 1 misfire.
Also both the plug and coil where motorcraft

The code is p0301 indicates that cylinder 1 had too many misfires within a predetermined period of time.
Auto zone recommended the ignition coil, which I already changed.

Alright, erase the code, see if it comes right back to #1 and to reconfirm. - Or have you done that already ?
I would do that first if you haven't yet. From there swap injectors 1 and 2. Erase again and see what comes up.
Could be a bad injector or the pump may be going out. #1 is the furthest away from the pump.

What brand injector should I aim for?
