Manual hub conversion kit ???
Does anybody make a manual hub conversion kit for the newer f150's ?
I had heard from somebody that they did, but can only find them for the older ones.
I heard it installs just like changing a wheel bearing, hub and all.

a maunal hub wont do you to much unless.. the front diff has an actuator of it that locks the front end... correct me if im wrong but im almost 100% sure.. the hubs on these trucks dont actually lock together.. just the tcase and the diff
More fuel efficient when unlocked, less wear and tear on drive train when unlocked, stronger than auto locking, work when you need them.
When you unlock manual hubs, the wheels free spin, just like a 2wd would. You will not be turning the axle, gears and driveshaft also. The actuator would be eliminated, one less thing to have not work. Very simple, proven design.
Looked at Warn and Mile Marker, they have kits for the older Fords only.

That's why your front driveshaft will still spin some when you are in 2wd, the drag from the axles through the differential, driveshaft and gears in the transfer case.
With manual hubs, the wheels will freely spin with out all of the excess drag.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but that's how I understand it.
