Default Lug nuts

A person down the road from me just had his tires stolen off his truck, and I figure I probably have the 2nd nicest set in the neighbor hood lol so I better get some keyed lug nuts to make it slightly more difficult to get the wheels off my truck.

My questions are, what size lug nuts do I need for my 1997 F-150 4x4 scab short bed? Any recommendations as to brand / what ones I should get? I have aftermarket wheels that use the acorn style, not the stock flange style.

Your rim manufacture should have the type you need. I'd try their site first anyway.

I don't if you know this and the reason why I say try the rim manufacturer for the nuts. Well, it's because a lot of times the rims come with their own nut sets. I recall having 44's installed on center lines and they called me back to the shop because they installed the wrong nuts. Trust me, you don't want one of those flying off on yuh and they didn't want that either. The girl (yes it was a girl, you don't forget a thing like that) working on my truck was cleaning up her work area and noticed the bags of nuts before the end of day (please don't) anyway....

So yea, it may be worth checking the rim site.(Thought I'd throw that in in-case you were unaware.)

I didn't know that they come with lug nuts lol. I'll give them a call and see where I can go with that. If I can't get any from them, are there any brands I should go for?

Personally, I'm not sure on those, some might know. All I know has been said other than, if I was after new rims I hope that they used the OEM style nuts. Nothing about those are cheap.
