Lowering an F150
Hello,
Hoping you can forgive my noobness but I am looking for some information regarding lowering my truck.
I have a stock V6 1998 F150 that I picked up for the sole purpose of hauling my motorcycle around in the summer. I have been looking through a few magazines and have found kits around the $500 mark that drop it 2/4 inches F/R respectively.
What I would really like to know is, does anyone have a picture of similar truck with this drop.... does anyone have any reason why this drop shouldn't be done.... is that a realistic price for it..... ans is there anything that will drastically change handling or wheel clearance wise?
As well, if there is a better or cheaper (or both) option out there then I'm sure you guys would know about it here.
I was looking at this kit specifically but doesn't have to be this one.

Again, it's basically to aid in loading and unloading my bike. Lower the angle, easier it is to do it my self.
I would appreciate any help you guys can provide and welcome any opinions. I would search this forum and all over online but to tell the truth I have absolutly no internet access as I'm on a FOB in Afghanistan and am on the most pathetic slow *** connection that basically allows me to read and reply to my personal emails before I'm out of time.
Anyways, hoping some of you can steer me in the right direction on this or even tell me I'm wasting my time.
Either or, you guys know better than me.....

M-3000-T1 This kit lowers 1997-03 F-150 standard cab, SuperCab and SuperCrew with V-6 or V-8, approx. 2" front and 4" rear. Includes new front coil springs, ...

2/4 drop. I would just cut 1 complete coil off the front. Free... On the rear I would take the over load off and put Johnny Lightning Performance drop shackles on there. They give you a 2,3,4", setting to choose from over the bell-techs 2,3" settings. I have bell-techs and will be going to JLP.
Depending how heavy your bike is, it'll probably lay level if not a little lower in the back. this is with me guessing 600lbs
Heres with my 4/6 on my truck.

I've since taken it off, and plan on doing what I put at the begining of the post.
