Default Low oil

I have a 98 f150 5.4 triton. I've noticed about 2k miles after changing my oil my oil level does not show on the dip stick. What would cause the oil to burn that quick? I don't think it's my seals because my exhaust blows clean but I could be wrong. I've check for leaks around the oil pan and around the motor itself and they are all clean. Any advice would be appreciated thanks guys.

How much oil are you pouring back in during oil changes? I think ford recommends 6 quarts for most 5.4's. This will aid in troubleshooting to see how much oil is "disappearing".
