Default Loss of power

Would straight piping my truck (removing both of my cats but keeping the muffler) cause me to loose power or torque? I feel like my truck doesn't accelerate like it should even without a load and I know my trans is fine

Straight Piping isn't removing the cats. It's a muffler delete. The Cats ain't as restrictive as you think. And no you won't loose any power or torque. Im runnin straight pipes with all 4 cats on my 4.6 and I love it. Deep and Loud! I would say it adds a little torque due to very little back pressure, but that could also be my right foot

You better look into maybe a tune up. You removed all of your converters do you have a check engine light on now?

Fixed it for you.

OP: if your cats are plugged, switching to high flows would be your option. If you want to change the muffler, straight pipe or a straight through muffler will work.
