At a loss.....
So here's the thing. About 2 wks ago I replaced my water pump, fan clutch and thermostat. I don't have a lot of diagnostic exp and send an audio file to a friend who works in the auto repair business. He indicated the grinding I was hearing was prob a bad shaft on the water pump and to replace it. I figured where I had to take the fan clutch out ( which was a serious PIA even w the right tools) I'd just replace it then. Got everything back together and coolant back in system and now when I run my truck it sounds like I have a mini-air compressor in my engine bay. There is also a nasty squealing/rattling noise heard as well. I have heat coolant level is fine and no issues w idiot lights but my truck sounds like *** so I haven't been driving it. Just put 1100 in chrome and tint on and its the prettiest damn lawn ornament ever.....(imo anyway) I want to drive my truck without it sounding like complete ***. I know without hearing the noises its hard to diagnose what the issue is but im out of town on business and planned to tinker more w it when I get home. Any suggestions?
