Default Looking for a engine part, intake manifold area.

Hello all I'm new here and trying to find some information about a part I'm searching for. I'm working on a 1997 Ford F150 4X4 with the 4.6L Whiskey engine. In the process of R&Ring the intake manifolds to replace a leaking gasket and the heat shield/ shroud between the upper and lower intake manifold is completely deteriorated. Part number is "F65E-6P013-BC". I have searched everywhere but to no avail on finding this part. I think it was discontinued probably. So two questions follow:
1) Can someone help me find this part in a new condition? Do not want used as that will likely be deteriorated as well.

2) If I can no longer get this part can I run the engine without this heat shield without any issues? Not sure if running without would cause any fault codes to appear and or computer issues due to improper running temperatures of what this shield was protecting from excessive heat?

Thanks. Jon

Or try tascaparts.com shop around a little different sites have different prices for the parts. I personally use tasca and would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Most likely not, but since he was asking, I threw that into the mix also. Better to have everything you are going to use, and not forget something that is needed at the end.

Actually white89gt posted the correct part. Well it's what 5-Dinks would get if he attempted to order this one which I wouldn't do. This ones been superseded I guess. The diagram doesn't look right as well lol

It is called the a insulator, I've went thru 2 of them before I gave up on it, -

Yeah I agree it is probably not needed. However, to save the hassle and time of having to tear the intake manifold down again to install this $70 part I will just go ahead and do it instead of finding out later I have to have it for the engine to run correctly. Not sure what it protects from heat but it could allow some sensor to see too much and throw out some fault codes at worse and the computer would then likely act up!

Thanks again for the fast help on this. Trying to get her put back together for the up and coming weekend.
