Locks into park
I just picked up an F150 4x2 with 141K on it. It has a tendency to lock into park. Even if I put it in neutral, set the parking brake, take my foot off the brake and then put it into park, it will some times lockup and I have to rock the rig to break it loose. ???

did you try checking the linkage on the tranny for play? ford trucks have had this prob for some time now especially if the previous owner was bad for parking on hills and not using the e brake the linkage could be worn
Fords use an electric lockout solenoid for the transmission.
Here is a test to see if the problem is electrical.
When it won't go into gear or is locked, cut the ignition off.
Now turn the key to the first unlock position but before the engine lights come on.
If the lever will now move, the problem is in the electrical lockout circuit.
If so, check the transmission safety lockout switch, the solenoid, and wiring.
It is usually the switch, then the solenoid, then the wiring in that order that can cause a problem like you describe.
I don't know where they are on your vehicle because they are in different places for different vehicles.
You can go to Ford's official parts site and you can see the same illustrations and locations for things as the Ford dealer for each part.
