Lights installed in Cap?
So I had an idea, and I was wondering if anyone here either had done it or has any suggestions on how to.
I have a high-top cap on my truck and I plan on keeping it on there long term. I've been wanting to add some extra forward facing lights for while off road/ country roads at night, and I had the idea of installing them in the cap.
Pic for reference:

My thought is to cut holes in the cap where it rises up behind the cab, in the sharply slanted portion, place plexiglass in the holes and place 5" or 6" lights behind it. That way I get the forward light, without having the odd look or added drag of the lights on the roof or the cap itself.
So, has anyone done this? Any suggestions on how to? My thought was to seal around the plexiglass with silicone gasket maker. Would that support the weight alright or would I need to build some sort of bracket to support the lenses from behind? As for holing up the lights themselves, I dont really want to bolt them directly to the cap itself and have the bolts sticking up through the cap. I was thinking of building some framework on the inside to bolt them to, but I haven't come up with anything that seems sturdy enough without having to drill through someplace or another.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Anything could be done but I think with how far back from the downslope of the cab (windshield) and the height at which the lights would be mounted, the light would project on the ground way to far out to do you any good, the cab would be casting a shadow out there forever from that projection point...
