Some what new to posting and could not find this anywhere else so hear it goes... i own a 99 lightning thats in need of a trans replace (not something im new to; i USE TO own a dodge ram) does anybody out there know if all of the harley supercharge 4r100s and the lightning 4r100s are the same? in other words if i find one from a 03 lightning or an 03 harley thats in good shape, would it fit to my engine?? or would i be splicing wires to get the thing to work right or ?? worse yet. i know the easy way would be rebuilding my trans but would rather have something that can hold a few thousand miles while i can rebuild this one to hold together better than the stock one.

 

The Harley 4R100 is the same as the Lightning.
I was talking to Johnny [Wiker] Lightning Saturday at the NMRA Nationals and we were talking about Len Tech trannys. Just got off their site and the prices for a performance 4R100 doesn't look bad. www.lentechautomotive.com

 

just shoved a trans out of an 2004 lightning in. bolted up and works great so far. see what happens

no didnt need anything else off it pretty good and set. current set up is aem dry flow filter,c&l intake,pletium,ported polised eaton, 6lb lower,NOS,accell COPs,boost by pass mod,bbk headers,and bassani(? spelling) mids (what do you needs cats for anyway)going through flowmaster mufflers,art carr torque convertor,bbk large blade throttle body,90mm mass air all tuned in by me using sniper think thats it ??? mybe thats why the first trans didnt hold together LOL
