I bet the buildings grounding rods are punched in under that lightning strike. Lightning usually needs some sort of attraction IMO. The Transformer, - yea that's candy. The earth ground ended it tho. Yea, they usually hammer in 8-12 foot copper or copper coated grounding rods around the buildings, - close to main box.
Have two 8'ers here, just for the garage lol...it's code.

WOO!! haha , I don't see any around here except like downton Austin on the buildings maybe, here by Hutto , there mostly fields for lightning to hit

Had a lightning strike during a swimming lesson as a kid 30+ years ago. There were about a dozen of us in the pool. No sign of any storm, just overcast clouds then BOOM...lightning struck a wooden fence post about 3-4 feet from the pool. Sent some splinters into a few people near the post, but everyone was okay. Scary **** for sure. Not sure what would've happened if it had struck the pool itself.

I think there's a lot a potential in that pic myself, im thinking about calling my truck an f150 lighting after this last ordeal and hook one of these up to it lol
